Buying a refurbished washing machine in Breda — what to look for
A good refurbished appliance costs less than half of new, often lasts just as long and saves a lot of e-waste. But not every "refurbished" is genuinely refurbished. Here we explain how we do it — and what to look out for.

Why refurbished?
Three reasons a refurbished washer, dryer or dishwasher is often a smarter choice than buying new.
50-70% cheaper
A good refurbished Miele or Bosch costs EUR 199–349. The same machine new: EUR 700+.
More sustainable
Every refurbished machine saves roughly 50 kg of metal, 20 kg of plastic and 300 kWh of production energy.
With warranty
Unlike Marktplaats: with us you get 3 to 6 months of warranty on the whole appliance. Local, reachable.
How we refurbish: 5 steps
No two appliances are the same, but each of our refurbished machines goes through this process.
Buying & inspection
We buy appliances that are technically sound but deserve a second life. The first inspection covers main functions, leaks and age.
Full cleaning
Drum, detergent drawer, filter, drain and housing are descaled and cleaned. A refurbished appliance should look like new — that's the standard.
Technical overhaul
Bearings, brushes, seals, sensors — anything that's a weak point gets checked. Worn parts are replaced as standard, not only after they fail.
Test cycle
At least 3 programmes are run with water, current and noise measurement. Only when readings are within factory tolerances does the appliance get a TrompTech label.
Warranty & delivery
3 to 6 months warranty on the whole appliance (not just the part). Pickup in Breda or delivery within the region.

What to look for when buying refurbished?
Do
- • Ask about the age (year on the type plate)
- • Ask for test results per programme
- • Check that warranty is in writing
- • Buy from a company with a real location
- • Ask which parts have been replaced
Don't
- • "Refurbished" without explaining what was actually done
- • No warranty or warranty only on the part
- • Private seller without a real business behind them
- • Appliance not tested at all on collection
- • Suspiciously low price on premium brands
