Terms and conditions

1. Applicability
These terms apply to all services and products of TrompTech, based in Breda. By using our services you agree to these terms.
2. Repair services
2.1 Intake
At intake the condition of the appliance is documented through photos and notes. The customer provides brand, model and problem description. TrompTech is not responsible for existing damage documented at intake.
2.2 Diagnosis fee
The diagnosis fee (€30) is due when the customer declines a repair, or when a fault is found but the customer doesn't approve. If TrompTech cannot identify the fault and offer a suitable solution, no diagnosis fee is charged.
2.3 Approval of costs
After diagnosis the customer receives a cost estimate. The repair is only carried out after written or digital approval. Business customers can set up automatic approval up to a certain amount.
3. Rates
Please note: from April 2026 we only accept repairs at our workshop in Breda.
On-site service and pickup-and-delivery service are temporarily unavailable. The rates below remain applicable to existing jobs already in progress.
- Workshop (diagnosis): €30 per appliance, deductible from the repair cost.
- Workshop (repair): hourly rate per quote or current tariff (see website).
- Audio/speakers: €30 diagnosis, deductible from the repair cost.
- Appliances on-site (temporarily paused): €50 all-in incl. 15 minutes diagnosis/repair. After that €19.95 per 15 minutes.
4. Decline / cancellation
If the customer declines the repair cost, the diagnosis fee is due. The appliance is returned or can be picked up. Shipping costs are at the customer's expense.
5. Total loss
In case of total loss the customer can have the appliance recycled by TrompTech, or pick it up / have it returned. Diagnosis fees and any shipping costs apply.
6. Failure to collect
- Repaired appliances are stored for free for 1 month after notification 'ready for pickup'.
- After 1 month, storage costs of €5 per week are charged.
- After 3 months the appliance is considered abandoned and becomes property of TrompTech.
7. Webshop & sales
7.1 Refurbished appliances
All refurbished appliances have been thoroughly repaired, cleaned and tested. Sales fall under the margin scheme; VAT is not stated separately on the invoice.
7.2 Delivery
- Pickup in Breda: free
- Home delivery: surcharge depending on distance
- Installation: optional service at extra cost
- EU shipping: costs based on weight and destination
7.3 Returns policy
Unopened packaging: returns always possible within 14 days (right of withdrawal). Opened packaging: returns subject to conditions and consultation. Return costs are at the customer's expense, unless the product is faulty.
8. Payment
Payment via iDEAL, credit card, SEPA, or on collection. All prices include VAT unless stated otherwise. In case of late payment we reserve the right to charge collection costs.
9. Liability
TrompTech is not liable for consequential damages. Our liability is limited to the amount of the repair or purchase cost. All repairs are filmed as proof of work performed.
10. Disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Breda.
