TROMPTECH

Cookie policy

Which cookies this site sets, for what purpose and for how long.

Download as text file (.txt)NL (in Dutch)

This is a translation. Only the Dutch text is legally binding; in case of any difference, it prevails.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

1. In brief

  • On your first visit the site asks what you want: Necessary only or Also marketing. Both buttons are the same size, and without a choice nothing extra happens.
  • If you choose necessary only, the site only remembers that choice. Nothing is loaded from Google or any other party.
  • If you also choose marketing, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure which pages and adverts lead to requests. For this, data about your visit is sent to Google. Personalised advertising is switched off.
  • You can always change your choice with Change cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.

2. Necessary (always)

NamePurposeHow long
tt_toestemmingRemembers your choice: necessary only, or also marketing. Applies on tromptech.nl and its subdomains, so you do not have to choose twice.1 year
tt_internOnly for TrompTech staff: sets a device to "does not count", so that Google Analytics measures nothing there. You only get it via a special link, never automatically.1 year
tt-chat-teaser (storage in your browser, not a cookie)Remembers that you have seen the chat notification, so that it does not keep coming back.Until you close the tab

If you log in to app.tromptech.nl, the TrompTech Layer workspace, it sets cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your workspace. These are also necessary. The login expires after 7 days.

3. Marketing (only after "Also marketing")

NameFromPurposeHow long
tt_herkomstTrompTechRemembers through which advert or campaign link you arrived: the Google Ads click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), the utm values from the link, the first page and the date. No name, email address or IP address. If you then send a request, this source is added to your request. This cookie is not sent to Google.90 days
_ga, _ga_2N0BJ9PGVPGoogle AnalyticsRecognises your browser on a subsequent visit and keeps your visit together, so that we can see how many people view the site, which pages, and where they came from.2 years
_gcl_au, _gcl_awGoogle AdsLinks a click on our advert to a request or a booked meeting afterwards, so that we can see which adverts work.90 days

What we measure with Google

  • Which pages you view, how you arrived (advert, search engine or link) and with what kind of device and browser.
  • That a request was sent, and whether it was via the form or the chat. Not what it contains: your name, email address, phone number and message are not sent to Google.
  • That you booked a meeting on our appointments page. That page is on app.tromptech.nl, and your cookie choice applies there too. Not with whom or when: your name, email address, company and notes are not sent to Google. On the page for cancelling an appointment we measure nothing.

What we do not do

  • No personalised advertising and no remarketing: we do not pass that consent on to Google.
  • No Google signals (data from your Google account to link visits from different devices).
  • No Meta Pixel or other advertising networks, no session recordings and no measurement of our own of clicks or scrolling.

Google Analytics and Google Ads are services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may also process the data in the United States; Google LLC falls under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The data in Google Analytics is kept for at most 14 months.

4. Changing your choice

  • On the site: click Change cookie preferences at the bottom of the page. If you then choose necessary only, measuring stops immediately and the site removes the Google cookies and tt_herkomst from your browser. What is already in Google Analytics stays there until the retention period has ended.
  • In your browser: you can also block or delete cookies yourself. If you delete tt_toestemming, the site asks for your choice again.

5. Legal basis

Necessary cookies are allowed without consent: without these cookies the site does not work as you request. For the marketing cookies we ask for your consent (Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can always withdraw it, without this changing anything about what you can do on the site.

6. Questions

Questions about cookies or about what we do with your data: email info@tromptech.nl. More information is in the privacy statement.
