We want you to be able to use our website, including with a screen reader, with only the keyboard, or if colours and moving images are difficult for you. This page sets out what we have done, what we know is not right yet and how to report a problem.

1. What we build on

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as the guideline for this website. We have not demonstrated that the site fully complies with them, and we have not had an external accessibility audit carried out. So see this page as an honest account of where things stand, not as a quality mark.

2. What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, so you can skip the navigation with the keyboard.
  • A visible focus outline on links, buttons and fields, so you can see where you are with the keyboard.
  • Images that convey information have alternative text. Decorative drawings have empty alt text, so a screen reader skips them.
  • The language of each page is set (Dutch on the Dutch pages, English on this one), so a screen reader chooses the right pronunciation.
  • The pages fit on a screen 375 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.
  • Text colours come from fixed colour tokens in the house style. The muted text colour achieves a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 against the paper colour and against white.
  • Links, buttons and forms are built to be operated with the keyboard. Form fields have a label.
  • Animations largely switch themselves off if you have chosen reduced motion in your system settings.
  • The product film uses the browser's own controls and has a text description of what you see.
  • The phone and email links in the footer are at least 24 by 24 pixels, the headings on the knowledge page are in the correct order, and sidebars are no longer marked as a separate landmark within the main content.

3. What is not finished yet

  • We have not yet systematically tested the site with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver. The automated check does not find everything.
  • The interactive demo and the chat on the site have not yet been tested separately for use with only the keyboard and with a screen reader.
  • Not all animations respect the reduced motion preference yet. We are still tracking down the remaining places.
  • We have not yet checked the PDF attachments we supply, such as quotes and invoices, for screen reader tags.
  • The product film has no subtitles for spoken text and no audio description. What you see is described in text below the film.

We have not set a date for these: we fix them once they have been tested and then update this page.

4. How we check

On 30 September 2026 we scanned the home page and the main pages of the site with axe-core, an automated checking tool. It found no remaining contrast errors. We then fixed the findings about the size of the footer links, the order of the headings and the sidebars, and scanned again. An automated scan finds only some of the problems. So a scan without findings does not mean everything is fine.

5. Websites and portals for clients

We use the same guideline for sites we build for clients. Whether an accessibility statement is needed depends on the client and the service. Ask your contact person about it, and we will agree what we check and record.

6. Reporting a problem

Does something not work for you, is something missing or does something feel illogical? Let us know. Include the address of the page, what you were trying to do and which assistive technology you use. We read every report.

  • Email: toegankelijkheid@tromptech.nl
  • Phone: +31 6 17720360
  • Response time: within 5 working days, in most cases sooner

7. Not satisfied with our response?

Then you can turn to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). More information is available at acm.nl.
